The 2025
Progress Scorecard

Democracy works best when it’s transparent

Our Legislative Scorecard is designed to provide Arizonans with a clear, data-driven look at how their elected officials are actually voting on the issues that matter most.

We believe that your representatives should be held to a standard that reflects the values of the communities they serve, not the interests of corporate lobbyists or their individualistic political ambitions. This tool isn’t just about numbers; it’s about giving you the power to hold the line for a more equitable Arizona.

The Methodology of Accountability

We base our evaluations entirely on the votes cast during the 2025 legislative session, focusing on priority bills that received at least one vote. To ensure this scorecard is a true reflection of progressive impact, we collaborated with over 30 community organizations and labor unions to identify 242 critical bills, double-weighting those with the highest stakes for our movement.

We also believe that silence is a choice; if a legislator misses a vote for any reason, they have effectively helped advance the outcome of that bill. These annual results are then integrated into a Lifetime Score, which tracks a lawmaker’s long-term record since we first began the Progress Score, ensuring that a single session doesn’t overshadow a career-long commitment to our values.

Simple and Highly Customizable

You can filter the results by your specific district, political party, or legislative chamber to find exactly who you’re looking for. To help you compare performance across the state, the tool allows you to sort results alphabetically, by score, by district, or by chamber in both ascending and descending order.

Once you select a legislator, clicking their "Voting Record" link reveals a deep dive into their individual choices.

We use clear color-coding to cut through the jargon: green indicates a vote in line with progressive values, while red highlights a vote that causes harm to Arizonans. Whether it’s a "Yes" in green for a beneficial bill or a "No" in green to stop a harmful one, these indicators ensure you know exactly where your representative stands.
