Voters, Legislative Leaders and Community Groups Will Launch the Arizona Voters Bill of Rights

WHAT: Press conference to launch the Arizona Voters Bill of Rights, a new grassroots effort to inform Arizonans of their rights as voters and ensure that those rights are respected.

At the press conference, advocates will unveil the Arizona Voters Bill of Rights, which names a set of six rights that are key to ensuring all Arizona voters can fully participate in our democracy. Advocates will also announce plans to work during this session towards enshrining voters’ rights into law, including automatic voter registration, same day registration and other measures. Advocates also anticipate fighting back during this legislative session against attempts to further limit voting rights in Arizona.

Representatives from community groups, including Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA), ProgressNow Arizona, Indivisible Arizona, Planned Parenthood Arizona, and NextGen will attend, as will Representative Bolding (House Minority Co-Whip), Representative Teran and other state legislators.
