PHOENIX, AZ – With 4 days left until Election Day, the Arizona community organizations that make up the Mi AZ coalition (LUCHA, CASE Action/Unite Here Local 11, Mi Familia Vota, Our Voice Our Vote Arizona, Progress Arizona and Chispa AZ PAC) have officially knocked on more than one million doors, speaking with hundreds of thousands of voters about this year’s election. The coalition is on track to knock 1,250,000 doors by the time the polls close on November 3rd.

The Mi AZ coalition came together in 2018 as a shared effort by Arizona community organizations to organize and motivate people of color and young people in the 2018 midterms and beyond. That effort played a key role in Kyrsten Sinema’s US Senate win, among other 2018 victories. This year, the coalition is working to defeat Donald Trump, send Mark Kelly to the US Senate, flip the Arizona state legislature and elect progressives up and down the ballot.

This year’s campaign is on track to be significantly larger than 2018’s effort, despite the immense challenges posed by COVID-19 and this year’s extreme summer heat. It is by far the biggest field campaign on the progressive side in Arizona.

By the numbers:

Doors knocked to date: 1,020,403

Phone calls to voters to date: 7,823,232

Total contacts in person, by phone and by text to date: 483,930

The program also includes a significant digital ad program as well as a mail ballot guide.

Mi AZ organizations are hosting community events and canvass launches every day until the polls close, including:

-Saturday, 10:30 am: Street parade with drumline, mariachi, tacos and raspados

-Sunday, 10:00 am: Ecumenical service with Mi Familia Vota -Monday-Tuesday: Canvass launches and lit drops multiple times a day
